Withdrawal policy

Bentorno's subscriptions are sold by our reseller Polar (Polar Software, Inc.), which is the merchant of record for every purchase. Polar handles payment, invoices and refunds, so withdrawals and refunds go through Polar, under its buyer terms and the law where you live. This page explains what that means for you.

If you buy as a consumer, for purposes outside your trade or profession, and the law where you live gives you a right to withdraw from contracts made online, you can withdraw from your subscription without giving a reason. This applies to the first payment of a subscription, not to its renewals.

The period is 14 days in most places where the right exists, and shorter where the law sets a shorter one. It starts on the day you buy the subscription.

Tell Polar within the period that you withdraw, by email to [email protected], the address Polar gives for questions about a purchase. A clear statement is enough, and you don't need to give a reason. You can also write to us at [email protected], and we pass it on to Polar.

Polar refunds what you paid, at the latest within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, using the payment method you used, at no cost to you. If you asked for the service to start during the withdrawal period, you may have to pay for the part of the period you used, as far as the law allows. Your access ends when the withdrawal takes effect.

The right to withdraw doesn't apply when you buy for your business, which is how businesses buy Bentorno. It may also end early where the law allows, for example if you agreed at checkout that the service starts at once and that you lose the right once it has been fully provided; the law where you live always applies. Apart from that, payments are not refunded, though Polar may refund in other cases at its discretion.
